What saltwater fly patterns can you get from us?
We provide a range of custom saltwater fly patterns for anglers who want purpose-built flies rather than a generic collection.
Our fly-tying service can help with:
- Baitfish-style patterns for predatory saltwater species
- Shrimp and prawn imitations
- Crab-style flies
- Streamers for aggressive predators
- Weighted saltwater flies
- Surface and popper-style patterns
- Different fly sizes and colour combinations
- Custom patterns based on an angler’s requirements
The objective is straightforward: give anglers flies that match the type of fishing they intend to do.
Can you order hand-tied saltwater flies from Kenya?
Yes. Our service focuses on hand-tied saltwater fishing flies made with careful attention to materials, proportions, hooks, threadwork, and overall construction.
Every fly is individually tied rather than treated as a mass-produced product. This allows us to work with different pattern requirements and create selections suitable for anglers preparing for specific fishing trips.
For customers who already know the patterns they want, we can work from those requirements. For customers who need assistance selecting a suitable collection, we can discuss the intended fishing application and build the fly selection around it.
Do you make custom saltwater fly patterns?
Yes. Customisation is one of the useful advantages of working directly with a specialist fly-tying service.
A customer may require a particular:
- Fly size
- Hook style
- Colour combination
- Weight
- Material
- Baitfish profile
- Crustacean imitation
- Predator pattern
- Quantity
Our custom fly tying service gives anglers the opportunity to request patterns according to their own fishing requirements instead of limiting their order to a fixed selection.
For example, an angler preparing for tropical saltwater fishing may want several baitfish patterns in different sizes, together with shrimp or crab imitations. We can organise the selection around that requirement.
How can Trout Fly Fishing Flies Kenya help saltwater anglers?
Our service combines traditional hand-tying with practical attention to how a fly needs to function on the water.
We focus on producing flies with:
- Secure construction
- Appropriate proportions
- Suitable materials
- Strong and reliable tying
- Practical profiles
- Consistent finishing
- Different sizes and variations when required
A fly may look attractive in a photograph, but anglers ultimately need it to remain useful after casting, retrieving, handling, and exposure to saltwater conditions. That is why construction and material selection receive attention during the tying process.
Can you prepare a saltwater fly collection for a fishing trip?
Yes. We can help customers put together a saltwater fly assortment rather than ordering individual patterns without considering how they will be used.
A practical collection might combine several pattern styles, sizes, weights, and colours.
For instance, an angler could request:
- Smaller baitfish patterns.
- Larger predator streamers.
- Shrimp or prawn imitations.
- Crab-style flies.
- Weighted flies for deeper presentations.
- Alternative colours for changing water conditions.
This approach gives the angler more flexibility without requiring an unnecessarily large number of unrelated patterns.
Why choose hand-tied flies for saltwater fishing?
Hand tying allows greater attention to the individual construction of each fly.
With premium saltwater flies, details such as material placement, body proportions, profile, hook selection, and thread security can all influence how the finished pattern looks and behaves.
Our artisans inspect the flies during production so that the finished pieces meet the required standard before they are prepared for customers.
The result is a service centred on craftsmanship rather than simply supplying a catalogue of generic flies.
Do you supply saltwater fishing flies internationally?
Trout Fly Fishing Flies Kenya serves anglers beyond the local Kenyan market.
Our fly-tying operation began in Kenya and has developed around supplying hand-tied fishing flies to anglers in different parts of the world. Customers looking for Kenya-made fishing flies can therefore use our service when preparing collections for saltwater fishing or other fly-fishing applications.
If you have a specific pattern requirement, quantity, size, or style in mind, providing those details helps us understand exactly what you need.
