Most power flushes for an average-sized home take a few hours, depending on the number of radiators and the severity of the sludge build-up. It’s a non-invasive process — the machine connects to your existing system, so there’s no need to remove radiators or dig into walls.

Once your system has been flushed, engineers will usually add a chemical inhibitor to the water to help prevent sludge and corrosion building up again. Annual boiler servicing also helps catch any early signs of a system that might need attention again down the line.
